- PARISH COUNCIL VACANCIES
The number of Councillors required to run the above Parish Council is seven.
At the present time the Parish Council has five Councillors with a vacancy for three more. Having only four Councillors makes it very difficult to vote on important Parish issues as a quorate of a minimum of three is required to vote.
If you have any interest in becoming a Parish Councillor please contact the Clerk by letter or email with your name, address and telephone number and a little bit about yourself and why you would like to be a Parish Councillor.
You do not have to live in Carlton Miniott to represent the Residents but you must live within a three mile radius, own property within the Parish or work in the Parish.
The Council meet every fourth Monday in the month at 7.30pm except for August and December. The venue is Carlton Lodge, Carlton Miniott.

- CAROL SINGING UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE
Carol Singing under the Christmas Tree at Carlton Miniott Parochial Church on Monday 16 December 2019 at 7.00pm. Music by Thirsk British Legion Band. There will be mulled wine, fruit juice and mince pies served in the Church and a warm welcome is extended to all.
- GRAND CENTRAL CONTINUES £2.6m STATION INVESTMENT PROGRAMME
Grand Central are delighted to announce further details of their major investment programme to improve station facilities along their routes. It reinforces their commitment to investing in the communities they serve and enhancing facilities for the benefit of current and future customers.
A raft of schemes are now underway at stations along both their routes which are due to be completed in early 2020 and will see a revamp of the station facilities in Sunderland, Hartlepool, Eaglescliffe, Thirsk, Bradford Interchange, Brighouse, Mirfield and Wakefield Kirkgate. They are looking to make the stations more welcoming and comfortable for customers travelling to and from these destinations.
The station investment programme includes a car park expansion scheme taking the total number of parking spaces to 73 plus an additional 5 disabled spaces. Improved lighting and drainage as well as passive provision for electric vehicle charging points.

Tracey Flint the Hambleton District Council Recycling Officer will be attending the next Parish Council meeting on Monday 29th April to give a talk on recycling.

PLAYING FIELDS - DOG BAN
Can we politely remind all villagers that NO dogs except guide dogs are allowed on the Carlton Miniott Playing Field. There is a dog ban in place to protect all users including children. Anyone seen on the field with their dog will be asked to leave as they can be fined by the Hambleton Dog Warden for breaking the Dog By-Law.
